As soon as the signature of the contract, we will study your own documents and keep a copy of them. We will also meet in order to discuss different pieces of information you will be able to give about your family. Afterwards, precise questions could be asked and answered by e-mail.

The study of your family tree

Nicolas Herson-Macarel's first work is to make the most complete family tree of your French ancestors, character by character, using the best websites as well as the most traditional methods of research. This work about your family tree is estimated to last between three and six months.

Who... and where...

In order to understand better the historical background of your Family Roots Book, it is essential for Nicolas Herson-Macarel to visit the different places where your ancestors used to live. Each little town, each little hamlet has its own secrets and may be the starting point of a meticulous investigation. Tha amount of time needed for the achievement of this particular part of your Family Roots Book will vary according to the diversity of the places to visit.

The writing

As a real historical account turned into a novel, your Family Roots Book will need many months of writing, checking, correcting in order to give birth to a final text which will be translated into American English by Steve Sekel who has been involved in the making of the work from the beginning. 

The making

Finally, three more months will be neede for the composition, the printing and the binding of your Family Roots Book in order to guarantee the exceptional quality of the piece of work you will then receive, through its 99 numbered copies. You will notice that the hundredth and last copy is for Nicolas Herson-Macarel's archives.
